SAWS SMOKE TESTING (posted 2/11/15):
Starting next week in the northeast area of Stone Oak and heading south through Stone Oak over the next 12 weeks SAWS will be testing all sewer laterals in our area.

They use a non-toxic smoke to locate breaks and defects in the sewer system.  The smoke that you may see coming from vent stacks on houses (expected and normal) or from the ground is harmless, has little odor and creates no fire hazard.  The smoke testing should only last a few hours in your area.

SAWS contractors and personnel wear uniforms and carry identification badges.  You do not need to be home for testing to occur.  Contractors WILL NOT ENTER YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS

Please Call SAWS Customer Service with any questions 210-704-7297

Community Association Legislative Day
Posted on Feb 23rd, 2015
The San Antonio Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI-SA) and the Texas Community Associations Advocates (TCAA) are sponsoring a Legislative Day at the State Capitol in Austin on March 9th. It will be an all-day event with free bus service to Austin and a free box lunch at the Capitol. Everyone will have a chance to meet members of our  legislative delegation and see the Texas State Capitol. So that arrangement for buses and lunches can be made, preregistration is required, so please sign up on the web page shown below.

At every recent session of our State Legislature there have been a very vocal group of folks complaining about their HOAs. It’s vitally important for our lawmakers to understand that the majority of homeowners are satisfied with their community associations. Personal visits to representatives and their staff makes a difference! Plan now to be in Austin on March 9, 2015 to speak up for strong neighborhoods in the Lone Star State! Read more and register to attend on the TCAA’s website.

North Central Baptist Hospital: Making Healthy Convenient

North Central Baptist Hospital is excited to share a unique wellness opportunity and sustainability program for residents in the Stone Oak area.  North Central Baptist Hospital has partnered with City Sprout, an online farmer’s market, to be a designated pickup site for farm fresh foods and goods delivered every Tuesday to the hospital. With CitySprout, you have the flexibility to order what you want, when you want it, without any obligations to purchase.

CitySprout is a 2 year old company based out of Austin and founded in North Hampton, Massachusetts.  Their goal is to help communities start eating healthy and sustainably.  CitySprout works with farmers and food makers throughout Central Texas and is strengthening our local food network by providing more options for both consumers and food producers.

CitySprout will be a vendor at North Central Baptist Hospital’s upcoming Quarterly Wellness Fair on Wednesday, January 21st from 9 am to 12 pm in the Atrium Lobby.  This is a free event that is open to both hospital employees and community members.  This is an excellent opportunity to meet the CitySprout team face to face and answer any questions you may have and learn more about the program.

Please sign up today at https://www.citysprout.com/nc-baptist to begin receiving weekly menus delivered to your email. It's free to join, and there are no subscriptions or obligations to purchase every week.

The first delivery will be on Tuesday, February 3rd at 1 PM, and the order window will open every Wednesday and close every Tuesday at 1PM.

North Central Baptist Hospital is committed to the health and wellness of the families in our community as well as the environment, and we look forward to the growth of this unique program.
