Experience the holiday serenity of the River Walk as you stroll along the lush banks of the San Antonio River guided by more than 3,000 Luminarias. This century’s old tradition begins at dusk Friday, Saturday & Sunday only for three weekends in December.
Luminarias are a traditional Mexican Christmas lantern originally consisting of a candle set in sand inside a small bag. The River Walk luminarias display features 2,000 bags during nine nights over three weekends.
2016 was the first time, wax candles were replaced with flickering LED candles. This provided a better display of lights for visitors and it is delivered more safely. The LED are resistant to rain and cold. View the Luminarias and listen to Ford Holiday Boat Caroling from a River Walk restaurant or bar while dining or sipping on a drink.

Location: Starts at Embassy Suites (River Level). Barges will make 1 lap around the River Walk horseshoe bend.
Holiday Boat Caroling is held:
Tuesday-Thursday 6PM - 7PM and 7:15-8:15
Friday-Sunday 6PM - 7PM, 7:15pm-8:15PM, and 8:30-9:30PM
The public is welcome to enjoy the caroling for free from the banks of the river or while seated outdoors on a patio.
To book a private one-hour caroling boat for your friends, family or group simply click on the link below (Tuesday through Thursday $125, and $150 for Friday through Sunday).
Boats are decorated with lights, holiday bling and includes a driver, an iPod loaded with popular Christmas Music and binders with music lyrics. Each boat can accommodate a maximum of 15 adults or 20 youth. Caroling boats book quickly- don't delay in booking yours!

Holiday Boat Caroling is held:

Friday-Sunday 6PM - 7PM, 7:15pm-8:15PM, and 8:30-9:30PM
The public is welcome to enjoy the caroling for free from the banks of the river or while seated outdoors on a patio.
To book a private one-hour caroling boat for your friends, family or group simply click on the link below (Tuesday through Thursday $125, and $150 for Friday through Sunday).
Boats are decorated with lights, holiday bling and includes a driver, an iPod loaded with popular Christmas Music and binders with music lyrics. Each boat can accommodate a maximum of 15 adults or 20 youth. Caroling boats book quickly- don't delay in booking yours!

This event is a fund raiser hosted by the Ronald Reagan Spirit Club, which is a booster organization that supports the pep squad, drill team, dance team, cheerleaders and mascots at Ronald Reagan High School. The role of these student groups is to promote school spirit and support campus activities while developing the skills and techniques associated with each team.
Proceeds from this fund-raiser go towards supporting the teams in a variety of areas including UDA and UCA competition at regional and state levels, team costumes, technology for the studio, food and water for each student, and master classes and clinics. Students who participate in these organizations are consistently learning and practicing skills that they will utilize in their future endeavors.These life skills include time management, punctuality, teamwork, and most of all, the rewards of working hard to accomplish great things with others!

REAGAN ORCHESTRA WINS HONORABLE MENTION IN AMERICAN PRIZE:
The Reagan High School Chamber Orchestra won Honorable Mention in the American Prize, an annual national competition designed to recognize and reward the very best of performing arts in the US. The Reagan Orchestra competed nationally via recorded orchestral performance in the High School Orchestra Division. Criteria for winners are wide ranging and include musicality, rhythmic incisiveness, tone quality, intonation, among others. An Honorable Mention in the company of the finalist programs and Directors is indeed an honor. Congratulations to Mr. Sixto Elizondo, Mr. Nathan Sharplin, and the Chamber Orchestra!
REAGAN ORCHESTRA WINS STRONG PRESENCE IN TMEA REGION PERFORMANCE:
Members of the Reagan High School Orchestra auditioned for selection in the Texas Music Educators Association All Region Orchestra. Competitive and accomplished Reagan Orchestra students won 24 seats in the top Region Symphony Orchestra and nine seats in the Philharmonic Orchestra. Reagan High School scored 24 seats, nearly double the number of any other orchestra in the region!

To book a private one-hour caroling boat for your friends, family or group simply click on the link below (Tuesday through Thursday $125, and $150 for Friday through Sunday).
Boats are decorated with lights, holiday bling and includes a driver, an iPod loaded with popular Christmas Music and binders with music lyrics. Each boat can accommodate a maximum of 15 adults or 20 youth. Caroling boats book quickly- don't delay in booking yours!
Other types of festive holiday music such as mariachis, bell-ringers, and bands, are also welcome to book boats.
